Would this work with a 3.1 Ciera?

Or is there any chip upgrades anyone knows of for the 3.1 V6? |

| Chips will work, but generic ones like that usually will end up making the car run a little hot. For the best possible results with a chip, I'd look into getting a good Dyno tune or a "flip chip" where you can switch from like race gas to pump gas while using the same chip. I'd personally go with the Dyno tune myself though.8) |

I'm just trying to research ways to boost my engine up a bit, really I wish I had a manual.
What is a dyno tune, exactly? |

| sounds like a high performance chip for your ECU that you can switch between regular tuning and race tuning? |

| I read the message differently... thought he was saying a dyno tune is different than a "flip chip". |

| A good dyno tune is the best option, and cheaper than getting a chip. What happens with a dyno tune is that they put your car down on a dyno, do a few pulls with it, and then fine tune and re-adjust the air/fuel ratio measurements so your car will perform to its absolute peak. I've never had it done though because I've never found a dynojet near me. But it's Dallas so there are some I'm sure that definitely do in fact exist here if I want to do a little asking around and go find one. |
