| try some fine grade sandpaper on the rough spots then do the whole wheel with some good cleaner wax. |

Hi furyolds, Hi all
Makes sense to me. Why pay someone else to do what you can do yourself. Painted aluminum would best be reserved for a sleeper.
But if you still want to go with black, change 73Delta88s recipe to use semi-gloss spray cans instead of polish.
Regards, Norm |

| I've done this in the past with several sets of factory aluminum wheels...while its kinda a pain in the ass, they look nice when done...I've stripped the factory clearcoat using aircraft stripper, then did as 73delta said and used sandpaper (starting out with a somewhat fine grade and getting more fine as I went), then polished the wheels using Mothers mag and aluminum polish, and if I felt like it, recleared them....is it time consuming? Yes....BUT, you can say you did it yourself, and think of it as a learning experience...just my .02 cents |

do like they've been recommending and polish em! Those are nice rims man... And if you look in GM's catalogue, they're more like 500 bux a piece...
Its up to you though... |
