I Have had my 94 cutlass ciera for a while know it has a exhaust and a intake. I made a little power and I don't nearly have a enough for a RSM supercharger or nitrous does any body have any Ideas how to make more power. I almost got beat by a civic with a girl driving lol.

Get pistons that are .030 bored over, port and polish the intake and exhaust.

dre,
could you be a bit more specific as to the " i know it has an exhaust, and an intake" quote? stock, modified, or what? technically, unless it has a TON of miles, you COULD run a nitrous setup, if you could set it up in wither a direct port or fogged into the intake configuration..but in order to help ya more, i need more info....

Go buy yourself a couple of those "octane boosters" at your local gas station and put them in with your gas... It'll maybe make a couple extra horses for that tank of gas anyways...

Also, get rid of anything in the car you dont need (passengers, subwoofer boxes, tool kits) I find that weight has quite a substatial impact on pick-up. Also, i dont know if anyone would agree with me, but I like to have 1/2 tank or less of gas when I need pickup, just because gas = weight.

Just be careful, the octane boost could damage your engine...

ahhh octane boosters....yet ANOTHER thing to fill everyone in on....octane boosters tend to lead a person to believe that if youre running 93 octane..and add a bottle of 110 octane boost..that it will raise your octane rating 5-7 points...which is TRUE...however..its not 5-7 FULL points, but 5-7 TENTHS....so in reality..youre not going from 93-98 octane..youre going from 93 to 93.5 octane rating....granted, this will increase somewhat with more than one bottle, but ya get the general idea

..oh..and primer death... :P :P kissin ass IS a good thing LMAO

I think octane boosters are probably a waist of money I can go to my local race track and get 110 octane for about 3 dollars a gallon but I probably wont do that either.

you wont want to run 110 in your car..it will mess with and possibly burn out the oxygen sensor.....if you can get it for $3 a gallon, youre doing great...its $175 for a 50 gal. drum thru work..plus a $30 drum deposit..otherwise..going price is about $4 a gallon here....and i know this ALL too well, as thats all that i can run in the cutlass...which has come down to more like " gallons to the mile"...lol

If you are non SC and you have a intake and exhaust system believe it or not they can actually rob you of what power you had if not done correctly.

Your exhaust should not be messed with too much or a naturally aspirated engine can loose power quickly.

So for the intake make sure the intake pipe is not larger than a 3" OD.

You do not need a filter bigger than a 5-6" K&N filter.

Exhaust should be kept at the same diameter or only slightly larger.
Increase flow at the muffler and add a high flow cat.

For the biggest gain after the exhaust and the intake pipe add a set of ceramic coated exhaust manifolds.

Then add a throttle body spacer made from phenolic.

How much does all this cost?

I recently found out from some people with the 3100 SFI in their Oldsmobiles that the cone robs you of a lot of low end torque. Two Cutlass owners dynoed their cars with and without. They gained about 7 horsepower but lost 21 pound feet of torque. My best guess would be that it messes with the MAF. But what I'm going to do is get a new stock airbox, gut it, and run an air hose to the bottom of the nose to get some ram air. And I'm going to use a K&N. Ill let you all know if it actually gives some performance back.
