I'll never forget exactly where I was and what I was doing when I found out.... It was my first semester in college, the whole campus got closed down shortly after the attack, then I spent hours and hours in traffic trying to get home. just one of those things that sticks in your mind.

I remember everything because it was in the middle of my math class that we found out, end of 3rd hour, and after everyone found out by the end of 4th hour....about the same time thy collapsed....everyone just got really quite. there was even a prayer circle by the parking lot during lunch. I thought it was so cool that so many people with so many different beliefs could get together and do that.

Yea, I remember where I was too, I was also in Math class (Algebra), Freshman year in high school, and they came on the loud speaker to announce that one of the World Trade Center Towers had been hit....that's all we heard. They also announced the second hit and collapsing, but we went on not realizing what the hell was going on till we got home pretty much. (Catholic High School)

I may not be from the US, but that doesnt mean I dont sympathize with those affected just as deeply. I remember that day well, wondering just what the hell was going on...

I remember they announced a plane hit the WTC, but we all thought it was a small prop plane misguided somehow... An hour later they said another one hit, and they were BIG ass commercial jetliners, and the centers were collapsing. That was all that was on every channel for the rest of the day.

I suppose a big event happens in every persons life... My mom said this was like the day they announced JFK was assasinated, she said she remembered everything about that day, including where she was the second they announced it...

yeah I was in 1st hour algebra back in high school....

the sad thing is that there will be more of the same as long as hundreds of millions of people dislike america, there is bound to be people that take what they hear in church if they kill americans they will go to "heaven".

Axis of evil

Yes, true...

But America isnt a hated nation... Only by the countries who have terrible leaders instilling into thier public the image that democracy is something horrid... They just dont want thier people to see that being free could be good for them...

How else would they keep hundreds of thousands of people in a poor country and have no freedom... How else would they go about controlling thier people than through religion?

it will take time, but soon the world shall be at peace again, for god knows how long, but it will happen... This is what life is about - pushing through conflict and coming out on top.

I was a freshman in highschool, I had never even heard of the World Trade Center before then. My teacher flicked on the TV and we watched the coverage at school for a while. Hard to believe that it's already been 5 years.
