At Domestic Performance, they have lowering springs that drop our cars 1-3". I was thinking bout getting air suspension myself, but I've been thinking about it and I probably will just get lowering springs. Probably also want to get their performance struts, like they recommend, since it says you can use them with stock struts but the struts will wear out prematurely. I am sure Ty at Domestic Performance will have some options for you once he signs back up to this board, I just emailed him to tell him that the Oldsmobile connection is back. The lowering springs are $400 total. Not sure about the performance struts.
You can check out the lowering springs Here

Maybe we can get a group deal on them if we both buy them...

There is a difference between 1.5 and 2.5 springs, that is how much they can handle for weight

1-2" drop can be had for $260.00. If you want to go lower we can arrange it but the springs will take longer to produce and may cost more depending.

Struts offered are as follows.

Monroe reflex and Matic for 1" drops.

KYB struts for up to 2" drops.

Custom G Shock adjustable struts or our Koni adjustable struts for as low as you want to go.

In the near future we will be offering custom Air Ride systems as well.

Well Brando im sayin though i like tha idea of a group offer...Now ive heard that air ride can be expensive and all but wouldnt it affect tha way tha car rides(like driving or steering) or anything, now i dont know much about suspension or tha under body of cars, but isnt tha airride just like hydros? where each pump usually goes to four dumps on each wheel, so then hypothetically airride would have to do the same to lower it to tha ground? And plus if its anything like hydros-Im already gettin sucked for cash from Arelli for those custom rims-then what would be a neighborhood for tha price of air ride??

I have heard that with air ride, you have to get the steering aligned every once in a while if you adjust it a lot. Which comes with more expenses....I am thinking that Air Ride Suspension for our vehicles would be somewhere around $2000. On the other hand, Airbaggedciera did air suspension for around $600-800...not sure how, have to ask him.

The key to keeping the costs down on airride is to do ALL work yourself. It can cost upwards of $2000 or more if they do it. The front strutbags cost $560 shipped. the back bags are $160 for both(2500lb) or $120 at shows. I can get the Dual Mac valves for $70 where-as everyone else has them for $90. 1 basic heavy duty compressor $100. 5 gallon airtank from lowe's or wherever $20. We are at $1100 now, but if you buy all parts as package you can get all above for $800-900 if you catch it right.
I started w/ only front bags and went from there so cost more. As for alignment..it aligns the same as stock car but will only be aligned at that certain height which you would make your ride height. The only way it affects the steering is when you drive it w/ no air and your alignments way out b/c of it. It's very similar to hydro's but ALOT cleaner and safer. Also when your slammed your wheels will not be bent in like all those mini trucks are...we have mac strut set-ups and it keeps the wheels straight up and down even slammed like mine.
Check out www.justairstruts.com for info.
Other places carry parts and set-ups..best bet is to check out a Lowrider mag or a Truckin' mag.
My e-mail's Airbaggedciera@aol.com or Aim airbaggedciera.
oh yeah I'm thinkin' of selling the car too so if your interested let me know!

If you were looking just to drop the car with springs, I did a spring cut on my 88 royale. Take a look at my cardomain page to see details and pictures of the strut modifications... I cut 1 1/2 coils off my springs. It wasnt a huge drop, but I measured a difference from stock of 2 1/2" on the nose of the car. Plus, getting the floor jack under the car now requires a second person to lift the front end!

The worst part about lowering my car is the fact that the front subframe is very low to the ground to begin with. After I lowered the front, I have a clearance between the A-frame mounts and the ground of about 2 inches. This creates problems entering driveways and parking lots, but just a little scrape here and there... :-) Point is, any lower than my car already is, and it wont be a daily driver, without some sort of air or hydro system to raise it to suitable ride height. I suppose though, you have BIG wheels on there, so that may not be an issue for you. And don't take my word on cutting springs either... Cut too much off and you need new springs!

Just sharing my experience on the subject...

I have also cut springs but it depends on the spring. Some just don’t do well and GM has changed spring types within years. A linear spring takes to cutting "ok" to a point..a progressive spring can turn into a nightmare very quickly.

If you can save the money and are willing to wait for a custom set to be made Domestic Performance can get you a set that works perfectly and lowers your car.

2" is usually what we recommend as the lowest to go..But lower can be had if you wish.
