hey i'm new to this community but i was delighted to find that it exists, i spent all night last night reading! that said , i was wondering if anybody has ever found a bra made for the older olds. i drive an '89 delta88 coupe and last winter i got rear ended resulting in some front end damage... yes you did read that right. anyway i replaced the whole front end with junk parts of the same color but it doesn't line up quite right :/ the only place you can really tell anything happened is in the front right under the headlights and above the bumper. i'm thinking that a bra would most likely cover that nicely without anybody knowing the difference. after much googling i haven't turned up anything close to a delta 88 bra so i was wondering if any of you found a bra that fits.

wanted - 1 delta88 bra - late 80s.

i personally would never keep a bra on for more then a day...
it's very bad for your paint..
especially if it gets wet or when it's real hot out.

with that said now i can give you a link.

Welcome to the site!!! I think you may be the 1st person on here with a front drive 88 coupe :-D. As far as a bra, they hold in moisture and all of the sand, etc which makes it damage the paint (it acts like sand paper on the hood) and no one wants that. Put up some pics iin the album so that we all can see what this car looks like, those are great cars the 1986-1992 Olds 88. My uncle has a blue 1988 Delta88 4 door with over 300,000 miles!

well... If you do want a bra, IMO they dont look that bad despite how bad for the car they are... Anyways, Check this site out, and search for bras. They have anything and everything for most cars. Want new pre-moulded carpet? They've got it in every color too!

I love those guys. (no I'm not being paid to say that :-) )

thanks for the replies. i'll put some pictures up when i find some appropriate hosting space. as far as the 2 door 88 i've only seen one other car like mine in michigan, who knows about everywhere else.

as for the bra, i know they are bad for the paint :/ but i live in michigan and our cars get SUPER rusty so i'm constantly having to sand spots down and redo it all- primer,gm white, and clear coat. I'd like the bra to cover some nicks in the hood that i've primed but not painted and the spot where the bumper doesn't line up, short of taking a sledge hammer to the two pistons that support the bumper theres no easy way around it.

If you keep cleaning under the bar like once a week I think it said in a artical in Auto World Magazinge (I think thats it, i have to find the artical) then it may be ok, but if you dont keep up with it (and in MI you have lots of sanding and snow, etc) then you will make a problem for yourself in the form of rust and repairs.
