|
|
I just had my car painted and after it cures well I was thinking of putting on several layers of Liquid Glass
I haven't used this product for 10 years. Should I just apply several coats of quality wax instead?
What are others opinions?
Thanks,
John |

| Meguiars Gold Class wax is great, keeps the paint looking awsome. It even got my paint to shine, which sure wasnt the case the day I got my car. |

| meguir's gold class wax is awesome. It even made my friend's black primer hood look good! Imagine what it can do for painted surfaces, it's well worth the $10 a bottle. |

I have used Meguiar's Gold Class and their newest NXT Generation Tech Wax in the past and was happy with the results. I am always looking for something better.

I've heard that was some good stuff. Easy on and easy off. But the next wax I am looking to purchase will be Adam's Butter Wax, which from what I've heard works especially good for darker color paints. |

I just finished off my bottle of meguiars gold class. It was excellent wax, and made my car look like brand new every time I used it. The problem was it didnt last longer than about 2 weeks, before the water wouldnt bead anymore and the deep shine was gone.
I bought a bottle of the new turtle wax extreme shine stuff and will be checking it out next time I wax. I saw commercials on TV and I guess I wanted to see what it would do for me. Says on the bottle its a hard shell, long lasting wax, so thats an important feature for me. We'll see how it goes, anyone used this stuff yet? |

| try a stiff bristle brush, or a toothbrush or toothpick for the tight spots. if that doesnt work you may need to try some kind of cleaner or solvent.... just make sure you test it on a small area first to make sure it's not going to ruin anything. |

| yes, I'll have to use a solvent of some sort, I've tried a toothbrush to no avail. I'm thinking isopropyl alchohol (rubbing alcohol) will do the trick, but, like you said, I will try it on a non aparent spot first... |

my question to you is how long ago was the car painted???
if it was baked at 140 or 160 degrees`s no need to wait you can wax when the car is sanded and buffed
if it was painted in a plain ole` cross draft booth then yes you need to wait about a month before you wax
and no need for "layers" of wax that does no good and you actually doin harm to the clear. i use zymol and i have used the liquid glass great products, the liquid glass imo doesn`t last as long as the zymol does
little tip for ya buy soft cotton wax applicators and get it damp and then wax the car, allot better and no residue or powder
put the wax on lighty not heavy!!! when you do it that way better shine and it lasts longer too |
