Hi, guys!
It's time to change the front struts in my '89 Olds Toronado Trofeo, as I understand I can put in Monroe Sensa-Trak or KYB struts.
Have someone experience with both of them? What type may I consider as a "sport" strut, I don't like too soft suspension.
Springs will stay original FE3.

Any ideas how to eliminate the rear self-leveling suspension with standard leaf and shocks set-up?
TIA.

Thanks.
Everything is original besides mud flares in front.
Looking forward to upgrade brakes, suspension, possibly paint job and install 3.8 l supercharged.

As far as I hear, KYB is more for specialized applications such as you are looking for. A lot of people who lower thier cars or coil overs use KYB.

I have monroe sensatracs in my 88' delta and they're decent... Not the best ride my car has ever given, but they seem to hold up to abuse. I dont think the KYB's adjust by them selves. Are those your only two options? I would look around a bit more if you want a really sporty suspension ride. KYB is your better bet though. (likely more expensive too)

I really like your car! Looks beautiful... Its in very nice shape. Tell us more aobut it??? :-)

Thanks for the compliments about the car, 88delta88!
I like my Olds too. Bought it in 2001, it's my everyday driver, made about 70,000 km on it, now its clocking 270,000 km.
Changed tranny, gas tank, gas pump, welded floor, a lot of other parts, changed front suspension but not struts and springs.

The 3.8 l series 1 engine is not enough for aggressive driving, but still pulling well on highways.
Now, when I know that Series 2 supercharged can be installed instead of original engine, I keep in mind to do this swap when the time comes.

If you are looking for more info about Oldsmobile, there is a great site http://encyclopedia.classicoldsmobile.com
