cant really say much about your doors other then quit beating the crap out of them.
you could try popping out the dents and removing all the trim but i would suggest getting new doors and stop kicking them.
as for the fenders.
do you clean the wheel wells when you wash your car?
i use an old rag just for this area.
try cleaning the lip of the wheel well more often and i can bet that rust wouldn't be there.
too late now but if you ever get new fenders keep the lip clean and you should have no problem. |

door moldings are a common prob on those cars
the rust thing ya need to keep the fender liner and inside the fender clean the surface rust needs to be ground down and maybe the rust pit`s filled basicly needs to be repainted
DO NOT ATTEMPT BODY WORK YOUR SELF!!!!!
junk yard try to find new moldings
keep the car clean!!!! |

no offence bdyman, but why dont you recommend people try doing thier own bodywork? you've gotta learn somehow! I've done my own body work in the past and thought it turned out rather well. :-)
learning body work is just another aspect of being a car freak! |

i understand that i say it to just warn people that have never picked up a d.a or a grinder or a spray gun or anything to do with the trade
well if something screws up and if you you don`t know how to fix it then what your payin for someone to fix it twice
well iam happy that you did you own body work did you paint it too??? and what system did you use?? did you use a hvlp gun???
and ya i agree with you 100% but if someone that has experience that is with you and can help you along sure why not learn from a journey man that`s how i learned
well i won`t say anything any more then |

| Cool... Yeah, there are a few former body guys that work at my work, and they provided tips along the way. I was given a suction spray gun from one of the guys, a dent puller, and a body rasp(?) and I went to work. I used a one step, three part epoxy paint, which was very easy to work with in gloss white. I got it all over myself, which wouldnt come off my fingers for over a week! Bondo is frustrating sometimes, but all in all it worked out good! Very satisfying! |
