Does anyone have experience with this product?

http://carcapsule.com

I am looking into it to encapsulate my 442 restofication.

I live in the AZ desert and we do get frequent duststorms in our summer monsoon season. Even though the car is garaged and covered the dust still gets in with high wind speeds. The cover keeps the car somewhat clean but the cover becomes filthy to frequently.

This looks like it might be worth looking into.

It inflates with a filtered fan. They offer a back up that connects to your cars battery that will keep the capsule inflated for a week if a power blackout occurs.

Thanks,
John

that is way too cool... who'd have thought of something like that??? Thats perfect, unlike car covers that actually contact your paint and rub back and forth like sand paper this actually creates a bubble!!! Thats cool, how much are they?

yea id be carful with a car cover, they can scratch the hell out of your paint specially when they get dusty and i know how the dust is in AZ so you would be better off not having anything if you dont get the bubble, ive seen it a couple times and they really do get the job done. Id recomend them to ya. good choice

They state they dropped a 5 lb hammer on one and it bounced off.

Q.) What happens if I get a hole in it?

A.) The upper shroud is made of 8 mil PVC. If you do happen to puncture the unit use a piece of clear 100% PVC shipping tape. This will bond to the upper shroud and will not come off.

I would need the CC20 $399.00 Plus SH

Not bad considering I am currently using a $200.00 custom made cover.
