Hey. I was thinking about making my own cold air intake since I can't find one for my car. From what I understand all I need is some pipe and a cone filter. But in the DIY that I was reading they are making a hole in the tube. For what I don't know. So should I make a hole in the pipe? And where should I position the filter?

And dont say under the main fuel rod manifold combustor  , or somethign techy so i dun know where the fook it is. Say under that blak thinga magik on the right side there.

I see, are those two pvc elbows, 30 degrees? whats the diameter, if I am right. But shouldn't it be on the bottom of the engine bay so it can suck some cold air?

thats what i was thinking..thats why mine is a longer down tube...

but we had this convo a lil while ago...somewhere :s but i dont know what was said...but i think as long as its not right over the engine like some peoples it would work better...i was thinkin about trying to get it farther down closer to random air holes in the bottom but that would take talent..and if the stock air box was there i figured they knew something of what they were doing...

Did you notice any performance increase?

Here's my intake for reference:

I think the hole you are talking about is for the "Intake Air Temperature" sensor. Man, we've got some really cool looking home made intakes on this site!!!
