Hello everybody,
We have upgraded to phpBB3. Our forum host moved us to a new server and this server doesn't support PHP4. The old forum software (phpBB2) was not working with PHP5 (current version) for whatever reason, I had modified it beyond belief...so I just decided to start with some new software. It will take some time to get use to it, but everything appears to be in tact.
The actual database conversion went very well...obviously we lost some features for now. I'll be figuring out how to add a photo gallery, change the template/style, and whatever else is missing.
Welcome to the new and improved SECURE forum. 8-)

Everyone should be able to log in with the same name and password as before. Avatars and signatures appear to be the same. All the posts should be here.

Changed the style and added a new (simple) header image. Let me know what you think.

I like it, maybe on the right have some olds logos... old and new?

I like the color better, more contrast.

I wasn't able to use my old password, so I just had it re-set and made it what it was previously. Easy enough. Has anyone else had this problem?

EDIT: Like the new banner! It looks great.

Yea, I'll have to think of something to do with the right side of the header. I do kind of like what came with the template though

Odd about the password, hopefully it was just a fluke...

Ah, I guess I should have read the documentation...

Quote:
Password conversion Due to the utf-8 based handling of passwords in phpBB3, it is not always possible to transfer all passwords. For passwords "lost in translation" the easiest workaround is to use the "forgotten password" function.

So there you have it.

Photo gallery has been added. Sorry if anyone tried to access the forum earlier today. I was working on the gallery last night and fell asleep with my laptop while the board was disabled. I forgot all about it until around 6PM EST today (was replacing front sway bar and outer tied rod ends on my mom's intrigue). The photo gallery software had a nifty feature that allowed me to convert our old photos and comments to this one. The links to pictures have changed, so any posts/sigs...etc will need to be updated accordingly. For example, 73delta88 had a link in his sig to a pic from his album on the old software. I updated the link to correct the issue. Clicking thumbnails in the album will use a nifty feature to pop up the image, while clicking the image name will lead to that image's page where you can get a lot more info--comments, EXIF Data (pretty cool, check it out), clicking the image on that page will load the full size image, and it also provides the link code to posting that pic on the forum.
If you had an album before, you still have one and all the pics are there.
If you don't have an album, you can go to your user control panel. Click the gallery tab and manage personal albums. There you will see the option to create your personal album. You can now also create subalbums with in your personal album...basically folders. You can even create subalbums within subalbums if you really want to. You can also manage other album features here.
