It seems as if we are back up, Wavenom had encountered a problem with someone on the server creating hundreds of databases that screwed the server and they still have yet to find out who done it (reminds of the game "Clue")
, they moved to a dedicated server so it should be a little faster. I mentioned to Aaron (88Delta88) that we will be going with paid hosting and a domain name (
www.theoldsmobileconnection.com) which would come to about $15 per year. For now, I will make regular backups (probably make an automatic script that will backup everyday) and stick with wavenom hosting since they quote, "they are here to stay". I am still thinking about the domain name though...if anyone feels like they would like to donate, e-mail me and we can figure something out. On another note of what Wavenom said, The Oldsmobile Connection is also here to stay. Some of you have been here since the beginning, remember avidgamers.com/_TOC? It's still there....that was where it all began.
It has moved from server to server, but we may have actually found a home.
