I would think he just tinted the whole plexiglas cover of the guages, but maybe he could elaborate on that. The digital guages are VFD (vacuum flourescent display) which doesnt use bulbs. Tinting the whole front is about the only way to change the color.

welll first if you have the digital dash, you start to take the dash apart. then you take off all the screws and bolts that hold it together, then you take the first screen off of the display and put the cellophane (i tacked it down with sticky tack becasue some of the clear shield is covered by the dash. then screw it back together and hook it up!!!boo-ya i haveto do this soon with my new car. i think i am going to try and get it a bit different of a blue color.
