I have some oxidized/weathered paint on some body panels on my car. Which compound should i use to get that new paint shine back. The car hasn't been waxed more than a few times in it's life.

start with polishing compound, which should be finer than rubbing. If it doesnt take out the oxidation, go to rubbing. The idea is to remove as little of the finish as possible. If you do go to rubbing compound, I would finish with polishing compound, then a good wax.

i need some more info about the condition of the paint
but if what you say is all that`s wrong heres what ya do
if ya have experience with a buffer that is the best way to bring back that old paint but becareful if it is old ya might burn through the claer
what ya need is a wool pad or cutting pad its the same and a foam polishing pad
i personally love 3m products, they have a cutting and a polishing compound
but doing it by hand will not get the oxidation off you need to buff it off
no experience buffing i suggest taking it to a shop to have it buffed out
