Thats a big body style still in 85, right? I really dont think you'll find anything premade - I would make one yourself if you are up to it...

86delta i completly understand. my car is mint though and i want a buick GNX or a Grand National but i cant get one around here. this thing is a sleeper its so pimp or i thnk so when someone pulls up in there saleen mustang i just flip em off and then nod for the race i dust em without putting it to the floor. i dunno since i cant have a nissan skyline not because of 2 fast 2 furious just because ive thought that there a kewl car way before fast and the furious has ever been out, i have an oldsmobile the prime of its time.

i have pictures on my website

Fibreglassing is easy... Or so I hear... If you can paper mache, you can fibreglass. Those kinda cars look better just lowered, i think. They are THE pimp mobile otherwise...

Besides that, if you did get a body kit for it, parking lots, speed bumps and other road hazards will take care of it in about 6 months...

What kind of motor / modifications do you have to help you win against a mustang saleen? 307 alone don't cut it...

No dude...put a Olds 350 in it and tune the hell out of it, and if you want even more power add a turbo in....I know stroker will have something to add... :)

Oh yea, you might be able to get a body kit custom made for your car, but I would recommend just lowering it to a racing stance (high rear, low front)....

Brando, I have to disagree with your styling preferences... I think deltas kick ass with front and rear just a-draggin! And 13" wire knock offs!! yeah.... =P~ But thats just me...

I see someone is thinking along my lines, I don't know where stroker is, theres another thread about c_creations asking how to make is Delta perform better and stroker hasn't said anything, but I think me and BigBlock covered everything anyways

Brando

Is it true that a 350 can in turn be faster then a 455, just because the 455 is a big heavy ass moter, and a 350 is smaller??

Possibly, 455s make tons of torque while 350s make lots of HP. I've seen a couple 455s pushing 300 hp with still running mid to high 12s becuase they have somuch torque. A 350 has a great bore to stroke ratio (better than a chevy 350). Its doesn't take much to make a 455 run fast but parts are more expensive, while a 350 is less expensive but takes more to make to run as fast, in the end their about equal but a 455 will be faster.

BigBlock didn't post in this topic yet.....

And 88delta88, I have to agree on the low front and and low rear...I was thinking G-Body Cutlass....

I have to disagree with the 13" spokes though...lol
I wanted them at first, but I gave it thought and to keep those in shape is a lot of work.....cleaning those is a biotch....

Brando, I'd have to say.....umm...nevermind...after including saleen dusting, body kits, nissan skyline, and fast and the furious in the same post, I just don't think I'm gonna go there...lol

Psycho...you COMPLETELY lost me there..lol the majority of parts for a 350 or 455 are nearly identical in price, and given the same conditions and dollars invested, the 455 will be faster.

[QUOTE][Is it true that a 350 can in turn be faster then a 455, just because the 455 is a big heavy ass moter, and a 350 is smaller??/QUOTE]

engine weights.... 350 weighs 560 lbs, 455 weighs 620 lbs the 60 lbs of weight difference can be easily overcome, and even in stock trim, the 455 "should" beat a stock 350 of a comparable year in a comparable vehicle, due to hp and torque differences

If that delta has a stock 307 in it, a 350 will bolt right in....

I say drop a 455 in it. have more fun... and give it a rake! rear in air, nose on ground!
Thats what mine kinda is, not by suspension mods but by tires, front is 235/60/r15, rears r 275/60/r15. nice big tires in back for traction (although in rain, i cant hold the road for %@#) and low, but wide tires in front for cornering *it seems to me i can fly through on-ramps just fine while other pos imports with ''superb'' handling cant go as fast.. *shrug*
I WAS going to put a 455 in my delta, but i changed my mind since the body is in so-so shape *got about 6 cdifferent colors total*, so i decided to switch and put it in a g-body, and i came across an 87 salon t-top, so thats gonna recieve it :)
