HEY GUYS!

GREAT NEWS FOR ALL CIERA OWNERS!

I have been in contact with the guys at Knights Performance and I have been asking for details regarding their position of producing a body kit for the Cutlass Ciera. After many emails, and a lot of convincing, I received the following reply:

Quote:
"we will start production if we have 20 pre-ordered kits."

I have also agreed to volunteer my car for their research and fitting (this helped convince them, as they would have had to purchase one)

This means that if they receive 20 pre-orders they will begin production. I will be working with them more as to the design, and if anyone has ideas, suggestions, design ideas etc, please email them to me. Then I will forward them to my contact at Knights Performance for their review.

This would be the first made body kit for this car. PLEASE SPRED THE WORD. LET GET KITTED! 8)

I will be posting new information as I receive it from them, as to price, style etc.. I also have a sweet picutre of a 'photoshop' front kit on a ciera, Ill post that too.

PRE-ORDER # 1 - BASSBOY53 , 19 TO GO

Sorry, im not a fan of body kits. There more of a ricer thing, and also its extra weight and its not cheap. Yes maybe it does enhance the apperance of some of our ciera's. I dont think any body kit would enhance the look of mine though. Also alot of the no name companies in the body kit industry dont always use the best material for it, so it will crack or look bad. Wings west makes nice sturdy strong kits. What would be the price per kit if we did have 20 orders? over 1G im guessing. Id rather put 1G into my engine.

It might take away from the classy chrome trim at the bottom of my doors that I love so much, it helps to keep the car in another era without looking tacky. And if I wanted a Hondaish car I'd buy a Honda, I like my Olds the way it is.

I'd have to see the kit before i would even consider ordering it...
also sure that it wouldn,t work for my coupe.
most of you have 4 doors and wouldn't even fit my 2 door..
Image

front and back would work but they would have to make a special side for mine. and i doubt highly they would do that..

nice idea but doubtfull that it will happen..

88Ciera_SC your car is wickid! The rims look amazing. I cant really see a body kit for ur car for sure. If you lowered it an inch that would make it look real nice. Is that a chrome piece under ur side molding? or is that just silver paint? Your car would look even better if it was all red. One of the best ciera's ive seen

My favorite ciera ever is the 1987 2 door with those one of a kind rims. Also i love the 4 sqaure headlights. i believe 87 was the last year for those.

Hopefully i can find one just like that one with a 3.8L! :D

first i'd like to thank you for the comments you made about my girl..
that's not chrome.it's some kinda silver/gray rubber molding that was installed by the factory..
it's getting faded and i too have wondered if i should just rip it off and paint the whole car the same red it is now..
i'd never be able to replace that molding so if i tear it off i either would make it red also or like you thought, paint it silver.

also wanting to tint the rest of my windows but afraid the cops might stop me..
as far as lowering it.i actually think she's starting to sag a bit in the back..think it's a bout time for some shocks or springs...

thx again for the comments and let me say that she still runs like a abat outta hell when i ask her to..
couldn't begin to count the number of ppl. that she has surprised..
it's just too funny sometimes.

your not the first to talk to knights performance about a ciera body kit. someone else was going to get them to do it, but back them they only wanted 10 pre-orders, now it's 20! I also belive they were wanting like $1600 for the kit from each person. I put the 89 I'series kit on mine it looks awesome. and Furyolds i have seen a stock body kit on your car before but I can't recall what trim level it was called.
