Hello,
I'm new here. I registered a while back, but haven't gotten around to posting anything until now.
I'm 23 and I live in Ohio. I have owned three Oldsmobile Cutlass Cieras, all with the same (3.3L V6) engine.
My first daily driver was a base-model silver '91 Cutlass Ciera which I bought for $550 in 2002, and lasted me two years, before the transmission died at 194,600 miles. That car had its problems before it died (exhaust leak near engine, driver's door hinge halfway broken from its welds, banged-up rear passenger door due to a wreck by the previous owner, went through a quart of oil or little more every 3000 miles), but I can say this: It never once died on me, nor left me stranded. It was a good car. Fired up immediately every single time, even in negative degree temps. Still got a respectable 19 mpg in the city.
My second one was a hand-me-down '91 from my father. This particular car died (transmission again) after it reached 154,000 miles or so, due to the fact it wasn't cared for before I became owner. I only had this car for over a year or so.
Now, I own a light sapphire blue '92 Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera S, which I bought back in May of this year. This car had 75,000 miles (now almost 81,000), and I'm hoping for 120,000 more! I use it for daily driving to work and college.
I don't know what it is about the Cieras, but there's something irresistable about them that I can't quite put my finger on.
Nice to meet everybody.
