Hey everybody,

my name is Sven, i am 24 years old, from Ratingen, Germany.

On Monday i bought a 91 Cutlass Calais, which is i think very rare in Germany.

The Gas Consumption is already killing me ( i'm a student and you might have heard bout the price in germany) i used to drive a honda civic before, he needed 1/4 of the gas the olds needs.

After driving for a few hours i noticed that the front left wheel bearing is damaged and that the "spray valve" ( i dont know how you call the thing that sprays cleaning solution on the front window doesnt work, which really p*ssed me off, because the seller told me everything worked fine and there were no damages. Replacement parts are kinda expensive in Germany, and i havent yet found a online store in the states which ships outside us.

The paint also has some little damages, the problem is it is a "3 color paint" which changes its color depending on the light-angle. (In Germany its called "Flip-Flop Lack")
I havent found this specific paint in online-stores yet, but ill try to contact the guy who had the car first, perhaps he can tell me the exact name of the colour or where it was painted (but some spots look like the painter was drunk while working on it)

I hope i can get this baby done without spending to much money.
Or i will sell it again.
Dunno.

Hi Botox,

Welcome to TOC.

Not a lot I can help you with.

If the maintainence schedule is up to date, and everything else is in good working order, there should be far less difference.

Have you tried your local GM dealer? '86-'96 Chevrolet Beretta/Corsica might be the same car.

Checked with your local auto paint supplier?
