You formatted, then installed XP? Why? XP formats the disk as part of the install.

Anyone play with XP 64bit edition yet? I am thinking of ordering it, its 2 dollars cheaper than the equivelant 32bit edition.

I hear you have to basically wait for the software companies to catch up at this point. There are very few applications that are written in 64 bit code. Therefore, windows wont take advantage of the 64-bit processor other than the GUI, and native applications. It runs other apps in 32 bit mode.
