Yea...Harbor Freight has a couple things listed on their web site...but they also carry a brand called Central Pneumatic, which is totally different.

I see one of the things listed is their rotary screw compressor with air dryer....we heard one of those too, oh...I mean didn't hear. :D

I use probably about 90-95% Craftsman...and then a random mix of crap  No snap-on or mac or anything... just, like, walmart brand crap!

I have about every brand of tool made. From Starrett to Armstrong. With some SK, Craftsman, Snap-On, and Mac. Even a cheap set of junk that I can modify if the need calls for it. Case in point...

Most useful tool I've aquired in the past year is this interesting ratchet wrench from canadian tire. Once you get it on the bolt you are working on and loosen it, just twist the handle back and forth, and it turns the head of the bolt. No side to side movement nessesary. Then you can pull the handle backwards, and it turns into a 90 degree speed wrench. Its great. Used it many times, loved it while doing my starter!

Honestly now my most useful tool is my mini-torch with all the rusty stuck bolts on my car.

I've broken those types of sockets before. PB Blaster works a lot better than wd-40 in breaking bolts loose, imo and others I've talked too.

Having worked at Western Auto in High School and a mom who worked for Sears. I always got discounts on Craftsmen, so that is the core of my tool base. I used Snap-On while at Vo-Tech, I personally didn't care for them and Craftsman was still cheaper the 50% of Snap On. If a tool broke I just took it to work and warrantied it (Western Auto was owned by Sears then and carried a full line of Craftsman tools -- never hurts when you ARE the tool guy). I find myself flipping through Harbor Freight, JC Whitney and other various catalogs. Also it seems I can never walk out of the local Cummins (like Harbor Freight, if you don't have them) without buying some sort of cheap throw away tool (especially cheap screwdrivers -- keeps me from abusing {read prying open paint cans or impaling things} the Craftsman ones). I got "light duty" things from there for next to nothing (stubby wrenches, palm rachets, wobble extensions). If I use emm 2 or 3 times and they break after, they did their job. I got my 24 volt Black and Decker Firestorm drill. I don't care what anyone says, these things are monsters, my buddy tried to tell me his Milwaukee 18 volt had more power -- no comparison, his had no balls -- mine was less then half the price and has lived through atleast 3 years of constant abuse -- Same buddy I caught at Lowes eyeing up the B/D 24 volt sets -- he aint lived that down yet.

I forgot my "O" Wrench and Rachet sets again a "light duty" thing but just the ticket for hard to reach items

Well...I just got a 432 pc Craftsman set....early birthday present I guess...

I got a pretty damn good deal on it...through eBay. Just received it today...brand new sealed package.

Here it is at sears web site

I got it for $395 Shipped off eBay.....about HALF THE PRICE.

I usually spend hours looking for a socket (or wrench) because I never put them back....this is my redemption tool set  I plan to put everything back in an organized manner with this set.

I've been cleaning up the shop (trying to make room for this 432 piece tool set) and I've found quite a few things that I've been looking for and that I never knew I had.

Updating the brand list...I found a Snap-On 3/4" socket... Also, a 1/4" drive PLOMB (looks like PLVMB) socket/ratchet set. It's in a little green metal case, pretty cool little set. Definately had to have been my grandpa's...as well as an older 3/8" drive craftsman socket/ratchet set in a green metal case.

Has anyone ever bought tools from McMaster-Carr? Their catalog is as huge as a telephone book. The quality is there but a little on the pricey side. They have literally just about every kind of conceivable tool imaginable. Good source for those hard to find items. Grainger is another good one.

But for the most part, I like my Craftsman set.
