What I bought, that my parents use while I am at college...
2002 Simplicty Legacy Garden Tractor, 4WD 3cyl, 27.5hp daihatsu deisel (built for briggs), 60 inch shaft drive deck, shaft drive hydro, rear 540 pto. (My parents helped (read: bought, with my discount and advice) with this one... its one helluva lawn mower... you should see the hydraulic lift snowblower with electric spout adj... this thing is trick!)
2000 lawnboy gold series cast deck 2 cycle selfpropelled push mower
(last year for the 2 cycle and offset deck)
2000 Sthil fs120 trimmer
2000 Sthil SH85 blower/shredder
2001 Sthil MS280 chain saw, 20 inch bar.
I either bought or made my parents buy top of the line stuff so they I (and for now, they) would have something that will last, and do a good job. IMO, nothing cuts better than a simplicity deck. People rant and rave about how good John Deere is, but I say they make 'em green so they can hide in the grass when a good one goes by.
Working as an outdoor power equipment technicial really lets you know what is good and what is junk. Granted, the cheap stuff does the job, but people dont realize that they are meant to be thrown away, not fixed.
Brando, that is a helluva good saw you have... old too... I take it the Toro still works good?

nice....yeah, just remember someday....eventually....very far in the future...the pacific plate will have moved you (ok, Cali, "land of fruits and nuts"...you may not be there) to alaska.
any way to the topic
smallest to biggest...
torch (fer burnin stuff duh....)
5 gallon gas can (multiple uses)
32cc 2 cycle Weed-eater....ollld runs perfectly
lawnboy 2 cycle mower
ollld craftsman 3 stage snowblower 26 inch tall 30 inch wide has power forward and reverse, i got it after someone put an 11Hp tecumseh on it-doesnt look stock...needed the carb rebuilt and a connecting rod...i have brass shimstock in it and it has 2 winters so far just tappin away...
my 5.5HP HOnda/11HP troybilt rototiller powered go cart for doing lawn jobs
and the big azz troybilt 11hp tecumseh engine (i also use it on the cart) this is my prize...i went through the engine ported and polished decked the head (hours with a plate of glass and sheets of sandpaper....hours ) from the way it tilled before to the way it does now...an easy 13-14hp the tines measue 28 inches in diameter and 30 inch wide path, and weighs about 250+ lbs. it used to have issues before the rebuild but now it'll tear a 3/4 inch root no problem....and procede to drag your ass all the way accross the yard...even in high gears...its kinda fun actually....
i have access to a 64 Harley davidson golfcart...dragstrip duty i get to use it whenever i need cause i'm the reason it runs in the first place...
75 Jeep parts: lawn ornament and iron oxide farming
uhhh im gonna stop there....no need to talk about the tires and stuff (i technically have to call it equipment
yeah thats about it....
oh and my right middle fingers swelling has went down...its now only twice the size it used to be....and the final color is a dark purple fading to a dark red at the edges
time fer some more shots...gnite all

Digging this topic back out of the hole....
Yes, the Toro lawn mower still runs great....haven't had to do much of anything to it except clean the carb out (all gummed up). It had been sitting unused with gas in it for so long before I got my hands on it, for free.
I replaced the muffler ($6 shipped) today, because it was getting noisy (old one was rusted out). Sounds great now.
I actually started painting it today, engine shroud was rusting...so I tried the sandblaster out, cleaned that up, and painted it black. Next up is to paint the cast aluminum deck, toro apple red. The old paint is just flaking off.

The flagship... John Deere 430 lawn tractor. This pic is from a few years ago right after I painted it. It's about 22 years old and still going strong. 62" mid mount mower deck, rear PTO driven collection system with hydraulic dump, 3 cyl Yanmar Diesel, Hydrostatic transmission.
And the rest, in no particular order...
Stihl BG 85 leaf blower
Husqvarna 36 Chainsaw 16" bar
Ariens ST1136 11 hp snow blower (36")
Husqvarna 125R Brush cutter / trimmer
John Deere 14SB self propelled walk behind 21" mower
Troy-Bilt 4 hp Tiller / Edger
a really old Yard Man push mower
