Got bored and went to the junkyard and scored some goodies. Never did get what I wanted. There was 7 other Deltas from 86-89, and 30 other late 80's H bodies.
Emblems... they are slightly worn, but better then what I had.
New front one
*Warning, Rice Ahead!*
Annnndd my ghetto luggage rack/spoiler. Picked it off of a 89 Royale B.
I like it personally. It isn't screwed on yet, gonna do that next weekend.
Total is $40. Not bad, but I still got ripped off. What do you expect for a junkyard owned by a buncha ex-convics.
And 88Delta88, there was like 5 or 6 good light/grill combos for your car!

All the new emblems look nice....but that luggage rack makes children cry I personally like the trunk clean on your car, but obviously if you like it then put 'er on there!

The emblems have slight wear on them, but it's better then the none I started out with. The luggage rack, everybody has different opinions on. I like it, so it goes on. It's in great condition, so once cleaned up it will look great. MysterHK wrote: Sweet find! Your ride is looking better than ever, Adam!
Thanks! Since I've got most of it fixed, it will stay for a while. Thanks to all who convinced me to keep it. And if it wasn't for my father, I'd never look this good.
Oh yeah, new front emblem put on. I need a new hood one now. Still, much better then the faded one.

justinwebb wrote: nice find i have been bored lately too and just went to the junkyards around here and the olds is back in working order just need to paint her now.....its a cheap and easy way to fix up the car!!!!
Oh, for sure. I needed a switch for my front passenger window, easily found one off a Buick H-Body. It's silver, but no biggie. It works and when im bored it will give me something to do by painting it. There were TONS (20 or so) of Series I 3800's I'm tempted to pick-up and re-build one to pop in the Delta.

87, I like the luggage rack too. I always thought about sourcing one for my car, but was too lazy to do so. Lookin good as always!
And I did end up finding a light, and a grille for the passenger side. Looks like new again

If you ever do get a luggage rack/spoiler, make sure you get the chrome one
And thanks, I like to keep her clean!
