Anybody got plans for labor day weekend? I'm leaving in about 2 hours to go to torch lake, do some swimming, fishing, relax, and unfortunately do homework too at a friends cottage.

Work, 9:30-5:00. Big sale at Circuit City (where I work) and it is going to busy. Only me and another girl to run register and customer service

Nothing Oldsmobile-related this weekend, except perhaps taking Olaf out for a drive (aka Italian Tune-up).

However, on the last weekend of September, we will load up the 02 Silhouette for a trip to a field of hot peppers in Indiana, should be ~200 people there for 2 nights. We are just beginning to learn how to make best use of the van for camping trips; last year we had an air mattress in the back and the van made a great tent.

Well, actually work paid off this little holiday. Got some Polk DB series 6 1/2's for $65. Employee discount FTW.

Compared to the ones I had before, these suck. I don't have any bass now :(

However, right now my main focus is on SQ and they seems great for that. Might pick up a pair for my doors too.

Sorry, 87delta, I thought you had 6x9's... I've got the DB6x9's and they're great...

So while I was staying at my friend's cottage on torch lake, my mom and her boyfriend were going to Georgia. They had to move some stuff down there as my mom's boyfriend's mom (say that ten times fast ) was moving down there.

Well, on their way down there (they weren't too far away from their desination)--They were hit head on, both vehicles traveling at 50mph, by a Cadillac Escalade. Luckily, my mom and her boyfriend WERE wearing their seatbelts. They both walked away with some bruises. The Cadillac Escalade passengers on the other hand (I guess it was a couple), were not wearing their seatbelts. They were air lifted to a hospital in critical condition, and still are in serious/critical condition.

My mom's boyfriend HAD a Ford F-250 Super Duty Diesel. Both vehicles were totaled of course.

I guess that's what they mean by Built Ford Tough.

Another story goes back not long ago to a relative who was driving an F-150. A car was coming head on towards him, so he went off the road to avoid the crash. He ended up flipping the truck end over end and side by side. He was not wearing his seatbelt and didn't have a scratch on him.

 Yea...I guess so. From what I've heard, that Ford massacred the Escalade.
