Got a new monitor on the way, gonna be here tomorrow!
HP L2045w 20.1" Widescreen LCD
So why the new monitor? Well, my BenQ FP731 17" LCD died a few days ago. The backlight apparently went out. It's still under warranty, so I am sending it out tomorrow to get fixed. I guess I'll hook it up to my mom's computer when it is fixed. So far their support has been excellent. The guy that answered the phone was speaking perfectly clear English!
The HP monitor is the best deal I could find for the price, the stand is awesome, the screen rotates a full 90 degrees... Anything above 20.1" seems to be double the price, outrageous prices.

I just bought an LG 19" wide a few months back. Love it. 2000:1 contrast, 2MS response. Bright as hell, and DVI input which is spectacular. Cost me $227.00 CAD, which is a pretty good price even now. It was the "open box" model... NCIX, an online company, took it out of the box and took pictures of it for thier website. They replace the components, and sell it as open box. I'll take $75 dollar discount for that!

I got it earlier today (along with some new Anolon Advanced pots and pans for mom )....This thing is beautiful..... No dead or stuck pixels whatsoever. The cords hide away neatly in the stand behind rubber pieces. Love the height adjustment, very easy to adjust. So far it seems to be a pretty solid monitor.

I have a hanns-g 19inch lcd. Has 3 stuck pixels, but it was really cheap.
Not really related to the thread, but i have some ghosting problems... anyway to get rid of them?

what's the response time? I didn't notice any ghosting on my BenQ, nor this one...which is 5ms. The BenQ is 25ms...
I gamed with it and noticed no ghosting, yet some other reviewers for monitors with similar specs say they do.
So I don't know, but the only way to fix it is to get a different monitor.
