Then post how long it took you.

This is tricky. You're first guess will probably be wrong.

A beautiful box of candy costs $20.00. The box alone costs $19.00 more than the candy. How much does the candy cost?

20 dollars. The candy itself is worth 1 dollar, but to buy it, you also buy the box. So 1+19 is 20.

The answer is: The candy costs .50 cents. The box costs $19.50.

I had a hard time figuring it out myself

My 9 year old cousin figured it out before I did :lol:
