A genuine apology would acknowledge full responsibility for ones own actions. It would not attempt to avoid any of that responsibility by falsely naming someone else as an accomplice.
An honest apology is not made, simply because one got caught doing something stupid, and is looking for sympathy.
Everyone here will accept an "honest" apology if one is presented to us. It is the first baby step toward gaining self respect, followed by the respect of ones peers, then the respect of everyone you meet.
