On friday, I did something bad...

I know they always say practice what you preach, but... I bought a pair of 3.5" Rockford Punch speakers for my Delta. I know, I know, rockford... But the only reason I did it was cause they were the right price... I swear!

Anyways, they sound awesome, crystal clear, and surprising amounts of mid-bass. All my CD's sound so much different (over the OEM 3.5's that were replaced). I can hear all kinds of little background sounds and noises that I never noticed in my songs before! I guess thats what happens when you spend some real money on speakers.

By the way, the pair (I dont have the model # for these things... I can find out if anyone is actually interested) cost 85.00 (canadian). They were the display model, and are usually 139.00. He only sold me the display pair, becuase he didnt have any in stock, and I said I was going to a&b sound to get a pair that was 85.00 . Caught me off guard, and I said yes!

Sound good to me... even though I bought the brand I hate!

I'm sticking with my Infinity Kappas thank you very much!
So, 85.00 Canadian...US = 64.20. I got the kappas for $50....I'd like to know what model these were because the RF 3.5" speakers I saw in best buy recently didn't sound or look too impressive...

I've had several sets of 3.5's. Mb Quarts$100, Memphis$50, my Kickers now$50. the best would have been the Mb quarts, but next is the kicker's i have now. I dropped the quarts and the tweeter broke off..that sucked!

basically ANY aftermarket 3.5" speaker is an improvement over the factory ones, and as long as youre happy with em, thats all that REALLY matters...

I'm not a huge Rockford fan myself, but then again i havent listened to any of their new products...I always thought the older Rockford subs sounded a bit tinny and out of tune...but thats just my opinion..others really like em...

you know, with an exacto knife and some time i fit 4" pioneer 3 ways in there. the hardest part was getting the covers back on, i had to cut out some of the grill to the cover but they look alright (the chrome tweeter sticks out a little) just a thought

well, mr RF 3.5"s are still pumping out music... Still sound great. I would definately have gone with infinity if I had some availible for a decent price. Around here you either order from the net or pay top dollar at an electronics store. Sometimes when I have the cash, I just want the speakers NOW!!! :-) So ordering from the net is a big hassle. I should be more patient :-)
