6.5"X6.5" = 42.25 sq. in.
6.0"X9.0" = 54.00 sq. in.

Norm, dont you mean sq. in.? I beleive you would have to have a third dimension to get a cube... No? I see what you're getting at though. More speaker area moves more air, creating more sound pressure, no doubt about it.
