Alright...I'll post the sound system I planned out for my Uncle here. Going for Sound Quality. He listens to Beach Boys, Jimmy Buffet, Josh Groban?, eh...stuff like that. It's around $1100 for everything, right around his budget.
Here's the setup:
Clarion ProAudio DXZ745MP Head Unit
Oz Audio Matrix 130CS 5.25" Component Set
Oz Audio Vector SQ 10" Subwoofer
Ample Audio A210X 150 watts RMS x 1 @ 4 ohms Amplifier (Subwoofer)
Ample Audio A218X 90 watts RMS x 2 @ 4 ohms Amplifier (Component Set)
The sub will go in a sealed box, around .86 cu ft. Run a Lightning Audio SXPK4DANL amplifier power kit, and Phoenix Gold Tantrum ARX660 RCAs. In my eyes it looks like a pretty good sound quality system.
He drives a 1998 Chrysler Sebring JX Convertible.
Might switch the Matrix 130CS for 180CS (6.5") since they handle all the way down to 32Hz compared to 60Hz on the 130CS.
