Yeah howdy!!
This is stupid is as stupid does. My friend gave me a 75 vert with title etc. from New York, she inherited it. My wife thinking she was cleaning things up threw it away. My county won't do a lost title for me. The title was still in the deceased's name. Any idea how to get this taken care of? The friend who gave it to me will not help me. They are very upset that I lost the title.

Apply for a dup title from New York, using the name on the old title. When you receive the dup title. Do a change of owner in the routine manner of your state. I think that would work, it worked for me in a like problem. (when I was in California.) good luck. Andy
