Hello All,

Not an original idea but check it out.

Hairy Olds back in '66 with state of the art slicks on all four corners.

Hairy was the most famous two engine car.
It's been restored and is on display at the RE Olds museum in Lansing, MI.

Regards, Norm

Yeah, cool car. I have seen people use the toro engine/drivetrain before on the back end. Pretty neat idea, even if it isn't original...

I think I saw a foriegn car (porsche or opel???) with a toro engine/drivetrain installed in it, anybody remember that? I think it was on ebay once....

It was a Ch*vy Corvair with a BBO and toronado drivetrain. Very sharp car.

I got to see the Hurst Hairy Olds in person at the Dick Miller Olds event in Norwalk, Ohio a few years back. It was definitely great looking car.

my friend really wants to drop a 400 pontiac that's laying around and use a toro tranny and put it in the back of a 90 civic hatchback. He'd tint the windows and hide engine and when he beats people he'd pop the hood and reveal a poopy dual point honda engine. It's possible as his dad has a machine shop in his basement!

Not a bolt in, but it can be done at home.

There are a few 455/Toro combinations in this area, mostly mini trucks, but at least two Pontiac Fieros.

The first Fiero I saw was about 20 years ago, and the owner was selling conversion kits to do the same. His otherwise well tuned Fiero ran mid 14s at LA County Raceway (2800 ft) at an Olds meet.

They are not as quick as you would expect because they were limited to the factory final drive ratios.

Regards, Norm

I have seen the hairy olds before but not the engineer project neat stuff though! def couldnt have fit blown 455's in the 94 442 we made but two v6's arent bad-just a modern interpretation in a 94 cutty body, will get better with turbo's!
