The Cutlass Turns 20!

This Sunday (May 29) my car turns 20 years old. The build sheet that I found under my passenger seat last year says the built date is May 29,1985. The car left the Doraville GA plant and was sold from Crabtree-Hass Cadillac Oldsmobile for $15,595.95 with 15 miles on it on July 19,1985. 8) Who would have thought that this car would last 2 dacades?

a good car SHOULD last that long! Congrats on the birthday, take it out for a drink... Maybe even premium? ;-)

nice...20 years old...my delta will soon be there too.

Once I accidentally put premium in my Intrigue, didn't notice until I looked at the receipt when I got home.

Just grabbed the wrong pump :lol:

Maybe if I had known it was premium when I was driving it would have made a difference... :blink:

As crazy as it sounds I never use anything lower then 91 octane, its more of a mental thing i guess but for 3 cents a gallon more i dont car. The cars running very well for being 20 years old considering its the original engine/ transmission/ 90% of the body(had small front accident many yrs back) and is just 18 miles under 76,000!

WOOOO, 20 in 3 months!! I never get premium, I'm just a cheap ass. I still remember being up north with my parents a few years ago. We needed gas so we kept driving around looking for the best price, and what does my dad do, he gets premium and doesnt even notice it. I was in the car laughing with my mom the entire time! :lol:

I tell ya that Olds is still the toughest old car Ive seen, Sat. we had to go to a funeral for a close friend of mines grandfather and we took the Olds. Put 58 miles on it mostly highway miles, and the freaken thing just kept pullen along. I never beat on the car but I did ease is up to 70 on the parkway and she just cruised right along, and the comfort level is far higher then in out 2000 Honda. The heavy door, and solid feel of the Cutlass make the Honda seem more like a golf car with doors everyday!
