:D I have a 1988 Olds Delta 88 Royal Brogham Coupe with a fake rag top. I would like to have a sign board made for the car to display when I take the Olds to car shows. Can someone tell me how I go about getting info for my Olds, IE:how many were made of this model, etc.
Thanks, Cadrap 8-)
My e-mail is cadraps@yahoo.com
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Production was:
4,808 Delta 88 Royale Brougham coupes for 1988.

Welcome to TOC! I also have a 1988 Delta 88 with 336,800 miles on it. I must say these cars seem to last forever!

Hi cadraps,

Welcome to TOC

Your Factory Service Manual will show you how to find out, using the VIN.

I cannot help with your '88, as my newest Olds manual is '65.

I have read my Olds Manual from front to back and back again. The only info I can find from the VIN number is that the 8th digit is the code for the engine. Is there a pattern for the rest of the numbers in the VIN :?:
Thanks, Cadrap 8-)

So, we go to plan "B".

http://www.v8cars.hu/oldsvin/vin.php might be useful. Last 5 digits will be the sequence number, but I just realized that they won't help. The cars before and after it, could well have been Buicks.

So, to plan "C"

:D Hi,
I found the pattern for the VIN number in on-line search. It says the l12th-17 numbers are the manufacture sequence numbers with 100001 being the first car. I'm not sure on how to read the numbers correctly. My number being 335467.
I think I'm understanding you to say that the numbers include all GM cars not just Oldsmobile. Am I correct in this?
I am going to try the web site you gave me and see what I can find there.
Thanks, Cadrap 8-)

Once I figure out how to do the pic thing I will put a picture of car up.

When you have the results, post them here, using xxxxx in place of your last five digits. Then I should be able to make some sense out of my previous post.
