Hello all. I recently purchased a 87 Cutlass Supreme Brougham.

My problem is that the Previous owner had told me that the engine was down grade from a orignal v8 to a v6. I need to know where i can buy the headers for the exhaust or both manifolds. I do plan on making it legal. any online stores that carry them.

Also the car has 3 hydraulic pumps

What some would see as a "downgrade" others would call an "upgrade". It is why I never use either term.

First we need to know if the PO knew what he was talking about.


The 8th digit in your VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) should be a 3, 9, A, or Y. Which is it?


After we find out which engine you have, we will know where to go.


Emissions legal? Hard to do if the engine does not match the VIN.


Hydraulic suspension? If so, they have nothing to do with this topic.
