My father presented my son with his cherished 1978 Cutlass Calais on his 16th birthday. My son is going off to college and we (unfortunately!) need to sell this car. I'd like some guidance as to what would be a fair price? It is in great mechanical and body condition. As experts, your advice is greatly appreciated!

That's a complete shame, having to sell it like that. :(

If I had the money, I would buy it in a heartbeat.

I'm going to assume you're going to sell the car whole, and I don't blame you.

IF, IF you ever decide that you would sell parts off it, I would pay good money for rust-free bumpers, ALL ornaments emblems & badges in ANY condition, and certain interior pieces.

Also, if your car needs them, I've got a "Calais Crest" hood ornament, and set of sail panel badges I've restored for sale. If desired, you can see them HERE (CLICK ME)
