Well i was suprised in how easy my engine is working at higher speeds. Today i was doing 140km/h = 87MPH and it was revving smoothly at 2700rpm in Overdrive. I have a 4 speed OD tranny i think its a T-440. What rpm's do you notice at wat speeds?

Well I hover at 3000rpms at 60mph, but thats because I have a TH350 (3 speed) with 3.73 gears

roughly.. 76 mph.. 2250 RPM or so.. at about 90 its at 3000..

havent paid attention to higher speeds... but at 110km/h (roughly 67mph) it revs at about 1250rpm. I like these 3.8's... lots of torque, so its able to keep rpms down on the highway, which in turn equals better milage.

My ford probe turbo 5speed used to do 2900rpm at 110km/h. That sucked, I really didnt like taking it on the highway. Didnt feel right revving like that, but I guess thats how those 4 cyl engines get thier HP.

my moms stratus is like that.. 75 mph is roughly 3000 rpm..

i wish i had a tach so i could figure out the rpm's is there a way to put one on a car that doesn't have 1?

yes there is always a way to put a tach on an engine.

i had a problem puttin one on mine, tried to anyway.. i had two diff wiring diagrams, one was haynes and the other was a printoff from my uncle ...alldata i think.. and they didnt match..

my 442 runs about 3000 at 60 in overdrive.... th200-4r 3.73

Your not in O/D then, with a 200r4 and 3.73 you should run 2100rpm at 60mph, you have a problem somewhere

well, I don't know exactly what my rpm's are at highway speeds, but it's on the higher side, I have a TH400 (three gears ) but I have a 3.08 rear end which helps a little for the highway.
