So I'm driving home from University, the cars working like a top! (Which is nice because sometimes she burps on the highway) I get 120km into my journey (only another 180 to go) I'm out passing somebody on the highway when the car slips up into passing gear (just under 120km/h) at which point in time there was hardly any power, I was steady at 120, but it was I was starting to loose, so I pull over to the shoulder of the road, and when I stop the car stops too. I try to start it but with no avail. Take the top of the air breather off and there is a lot of oil lying in the air breather and my 4 month old Air filter is black with oil. I clean the oil up, take the hose off that connects the air breather to the valve pan cover and try to start the car again. After a little bit of bribery (promise to wash and wax...) she goes, not very well though. Smoke is rolling out where that hose goes like there was no tomorrow, and she was running really sluggishly. I called dad (mechanic) and he said to try and get as far as I could. I drop a quart of oil in her(was down a quart) and tried driving. Took two tries, but I finally got her going. It was a slow crawl and about 5km later the oil light came on, and that was the end my trip with the Oldsmobile. She blew the quart of oil out that hose and she wasn't going again. I left it alone, got a quart of oil, dumped it in and tired her again. She tried to fire at which point in time I got nothing. No more clicks, no nothing. As of now she's sitting in a secure parking lot and we have to fetch her on Friday and bring her home. I'm pertty sure I know what happened. Jumped timing, and then jumped again at which point in time a Valve kissed a Piston and now she's pretty much toast.
