Hi guys, my dome lights suddenly dont go off.
I checked the dimmer switch (its not all the way up..)
checked all doors switches for continuity - all work
checked the delay timer under the glove box.
When I say "checked", I mean I disconnected ant the lights remained ON.
disconnecting the fuse turns them off.
Any idea how to go from here?
Thanks

Do you have the Chassis Service Manual or a copy of the electrical diagram for your model/year? Basically the "hot" side comes from the fuse to the dome light. From there the various switches provide the ground path for the dome light. What you are experiencing is a constant ground somewhere in the ground path. You shall want to one by one disconnect and then reconnect each one of those switches. Eventually you should locate the failed switch which is causing the constant ground. My best guess would be the light switch itself. Hope this helps.
