Anyone know where it is or where it is at? I think a found my ECM on the passanger side under the dash(silver box). But I dont see a fuse around it?

I think I may have found it..But im not sure which one it would be..Well anyways while i was looking at them I noticed there was alot of black gunk on all of them where the contats were..This cant be good? I took pics so u could see.

Any idea what caused it to end up all messed up like that?

is it grease? seeing that it's under the hood, it may have been loaded up with grease to keep the water away.

I think it may be grease..im not to sure i cant remember. I cant check right now casue there is a hurricane outside Anyways..Are these the ECM relays?? and if so where can i get new ones? What happend is I was changing out my ignition module thinggie casue my car was runnin like crap and I got a good deal on a new one. and after i changed it out my car woudlent start so I put the old one back on and it still wont start..so what im thinking now is that i blew a fuse or a relay.

FWD Gm's usually have the fuel pump relay, the blower high speed relay, cooling fan relay/s (some have two), A/c compressor clutch relay on that side of the firewall the fuse is usually a 30 amp that feeds the A/C compressor clutch if i remember correctly.
The black grease is a kind of tar to keep moisture from corroding the terminals and is used in many different places (thru firewall connectors etc) so dont worry about that. the ECM fuse will be in the fuse box in the dash and is usually a 10 amp fuse (some fuse boxes require poping two 1/4 turn fasteners to the left of the headlight switch (viewable with the Drivers door open) and pulling/swinging the faux wood trim piece out of the way to see the fuse box) some vehicles have it under the dash on the drivers side.

first-running crappy in what way? what engine do you have?
it is not likely that you blew a fuse unless the repair ()swap() was performed with the ignition key on.
since your at this point-why wont it run? do you still have spark at the plugs? do you hear your fuel pump runn for two seconds as you turn the key on and does it build up enough pressure? I would asume that the engine is geting enough air (baring a dead rodent in the filter/throttlbody/etc!) unless the timing chain is messed up (you can check for major issues by doing a compression test and comparing to min factory specs (less than 10% cyl to cyl variation-and 110psi minimum cylinder pressure (if i rem correctly!)) (dont forget to block the throttle open while tesing compression!).
an engine needs air/spark/fuel to run-if you got spark (and the ign cables are on corectly), and you have fuel pressure, and good compression/(air into cylinders!) now it's time to see if the fuel injectors are firing-and if not what sensor, fusible link, wire, component, etc failed and is not telling/letting the ECM's injector drivers do their job.

You may also want to got to a public library and check out/look at a Chilton/Hayes manual to learn more of your vehicle.
