I was going to post this before, but got sidetracked.


Argument is like a fight, not good. Brains are generally not used. Some are pissing matches.

Discussion is a friendly exchange of ideas, facts, and/or opinions. It's what these type forums are all about, and is what has been going on here.

Debate is like a discussion, but about opposing opinions. Hard to keep one civil unless both sides know the subject very well. Religion and politics are good examples.

Many visitors and members of forums do not understand the differences.

Joe must have got busted for a light violation. He'll be back when he gets out of jail.
