The Olds set a Code 22, the TPS voltage too low, so this weekend that just past i took apart all the intake tubing and cleaned up the throttle body. As i was cleaning the throttle body i tried to open it with my hands but i couldnt than it finally budged. The TPS was sticking, so i replaced it. Its reading 0.40 volts when the throttle is closed and 4.62volts at WOT. Cleaning all the intake piping was benefical it was dirty inside.

It threw a code 44 today, lean condition, and i was working on the olds late tonight and noticed the breather pipe from the intake to valve cover had came off so that was the cause of that. I regapped my spark plugs, instead of having the ground electrode covering the tip i moved the ground electrode further back and made it only cover half the tip to have the flame exposed more to the air fuel mixture. Took it for a test drive it pulls harder in the mid rpm range but drops off in the higher range.

Is there a proper way to gap the plug and how the ground electrode sits over the tip? Ive seen nascar spark plugs and there ground electrodes are soo short the tip is fully exposed. When spark plugs come from the package the ground electrode is fully covering the tip. I also read in a mustang magzine, there was a tip given to reduce 1/4 times and that was how the ground electrode covers the whole tip, to cut the electrode halfway over the tip, testing on a stang shorten the 1/4 time slighty.

I also went to the junkyard today seeing their new cars and looking for a MAF sensor from another gm car, i saw one from a delta 88 3800, but that maf narrowed down in the middle more than mine does currently. The 2.8L engines have a 5 pin MAF connector. Alot of them were missing to. Im gonna check out more junkyards in the summer.
