Accoding to my manual the ECM is located behind the glove box. How do you take a part the glove box? Thanks in advance for any help you can give me. Dan

undo the philips head screws holding the hinge on and remove it then you will see the ECM on a plastic bracket

After finding out now to get to ECM on may 88 Olds piece of cake. There are 7 screws size 9/32 size arouind the glove box liner. You pull out the liner and the ECM is located in the upper right side. To remove ECM you need a 10mm Socket. Part is hard to find called 3 places only one had it. Also they need the 7 digit number on the part to order the right one. Thought I would let everyone know. You needed an ECM part number?
1227783 by any chance?
