RH front of the engine compartment (firewall), on a bracket...usually covered by a piece of plastic.

Hmm... I did not find the fan relay on the passenger side firewall, I
looked near the heater fan and A/C.

There is a row of four identical looking modules on that side of
the car near the radiator, behind the headlights. All look the
same to me.

Ok...yea..I misread the diagram

Yes, they are located behind the headlight, passenger side.

From driver's side to passenger side, they are:

Fuel pump, A/C Compressor Control, Blower, and then the Coolant Fan relay.

I replaced the relay, but the fan still does not operate. Using jumpers I verified that the fan motor works. The car overheats in traffic.

Hi TimKeith, hello everyone,

Would have been a much better thread starter, but you know that, now.

Assuming the new relay is not DOA, you need to find out if the temp sensor actuates it when it is supposed to.

Temp sensor and relay can be tested the same way you tested the fan.

Regards, Norm
