I have a friend who purchased a rural property that has a number of cars on it. The one he gave me is a 1949 , 4 door 88, (pretty rough condition). Which I was able to get for the cost of the haul. The car does not have any wheels on it now. However there are 14", 15" and 16" rims on the property that all fit the 88. Does anyone know the correct original equipment size for the rims and the tires?

Hi BillT, hello everyone,

Welcome to TOC

15" x 5.5" wheels with 5 on 5 lug pattern, and 7.60" x 15" tires.

Big tires for a heavy car. Don't know about the P-metric equivalent.
