In some cases yes the rubber can seperate from the fittings and i believe it was actually a recall on that cant be sure though so check with your local dealer, as for your cooler lines they run from the driver side lower corner of the trans and they run into the radiator on the passenger side. If the cooler lines are leaking you can use transsmission oil cooler lines from the parts store and retrofit them, with no problem

actually a common problem on the 4t60's on the H-Bodys and similar. Some years had recalls due to engine fires. They are cheap from the dealer though.

Well I had my left cv joint replaced and now the transmission is leaking I believe from the joint. I believe when the guy put the joint on he wore the seal out banging on the joint trying to get it in. I checked my fluid level b4 i left work and fluid was not registering on the dip stick. Luckily I had enough transmission fluid in my trunk to refill it. None the less that means i may have damaged my transmission on my way in to work this morning. Still working on getting the guy to acknowledge he damaged the seal but i dunno i may just get another transmission

Just have the seal replaced.

Having said that: Could it be related to your original leak?

Norm

EDIT: The leak was there before the CV joint was replaced.

no what happend was he broke the snap ring on the cv joint when he hammered it in, the cv axle can be pushed in by hand so it will lock into place. no tool required. so IMO tell them you want the axle replaced again this time with a diffrent mechanic and threaten to reprt them to the Better business Beareau if they deny you of their failed work.

Best of luck

-Marshall

Norm

EDIT: Same reason as above.
