EDIT: ISSUE RESOLVED, READ POST #5 FOR DETAILS

Well, i have this 1994 Oldsmobile 88 that i got from my mom because i sold my car to fund a VW project, and it has been running great until today. I replaced the front bumper and fender today becasue i got in an accident, and while replacing these parts i removed what appears to be a charcoal canister or something of the sort in the right side of the bay. I would say the cannister is about 4 inches in diameter. I put it back in just as i found it (two hoses, and one two pin connector.)

I included that i removed and reinstalled this because it was the only component that i touched from the engine bay when swapping the bumper and fender.

After i finished up bolting everything together, i pulled the car into the street, and washed it. Two hours later, i attempted to start it, and it wouldnt start unless i gave it gas, then it died. I can start the car if i give it gas, and keep it revving with my foot on the pedal, but after i let it off, it dies every time.

I have never had any problems with this car before today, and it seems odd that it has this problem after i replace non mechanical parts like the bumper and fender.

Im guessing its some sort of vacume leak, or MAF or idle valve, but i dont know, im a VW person :D

Im mechanically inclined, any help is appreciated.

Did it run fine after you got in the accident? If you put everything back just how it was, I don't see what the problem could be other than a possible vac leak.

Yes, it ran fine after the accident, for close to three weeks i drove it everyday. I will look under the hood for any vaccume leaks etc. Any other ideas of what it could be?

Ok, so it runs now :D

I had previously gone through the engine bay looking for loose connectors etc, pushing on all connectors like to the MAF, TPS, injectors, plugs, sensors etc. And looked for cracked or faulty vaccume hoses. I found one vaccume hose going to what looked like the FPR (silver thing connected to the fuel rails w/ vaccume hose attatched) that had noticable cracking and splitting. I replaced it and my problem still persisted. So i pushed on all the fuses making sure they were all in correctly, and my brother went through the engine bay pushing on all the connectors, and when he pushed on one of the injector plugs, we heard a click. I fired her up, gave her some gas, and now she idles, and starts perfectly.

Thanks TOC. Now im going to sell her to fund my VW project :D
