EDIT: ISSUE RESOLVED, READ POST #5 FOR DETAILS
Well, i have this 1994 Oldsmobile 88 that i got from my mom because i sold my car to fund a VW project, and it has been running great until today. I replaced the front bumper and fender today becasue i got in an accident, and while replacing these parts i removed what appears to be a charcoal canister or something of the sort in the right side of the bay. I would say the cannister is about 4 inches in diameter. I put it back in just as i found it (two hoses, and one two pin connector.)
I included that i removed and reinstalled this because it was the only component that i touched from the engine bay when swapping the bumper and fender.
After i finished up bolting everything together, i pulled the car into the street, and washed it. Two hours later, i attempted to start it, and it wouldnt start unless i gave it gas, then it died. I can start the car if i give it gas, and keep it revving with my foot on the pedal, but after i let it off, it dies every time.
I have never had any problems with this car before today, and it seems odd that it has this problem after i replace non mechanical parts like the bumper and fender.
Im guessing its some sort of vacume leak, or MAF or idle valve, but i dont know, im a VW person
Im mechanically inclined, any help is appreciated.
