I just became the owner of a 1995 Olds 98 Regency Elite to restore. It has never been wrecked, is cosmetically perfect, has the turbo engine, & leather interior. It is in great condition except that the VATS key isn't working properly. All electronics and instruments work and it is supposed to be the right resistor key but when you turn to start everything on the dash goes blank. When you let the key off, everything goes back on. The previous owner said it ran well when he had it, but it sat for over a year without being run. GM says that they had trouble with the electronics on that model. They don't seem to want to help. Any ideas????
