so the light behind my speedometer/fuel gauge/ which gear im in on my 1971 oldsmobile 98 went out and i have no idea how the heck to get to it. i unscrewed all the screws to pull the cluster out but it doesn't want to come out... at all. is this one of those things where i need to tear apart the whole console to replace a light? please help me out.

An Olds Factory Service Manual is one of the most valuable tools you can own.

Probably similar to a '70 Cutlass. If so, dash bulbs can be accessed from behind the dash. If it has A/C you will need to remove part of its duct to get to them.
