Hello All,

This is my first post. I've recently acquired a 1987 Oldsmobile Delta 88 Royal Brougham. I am slowly going through and fixing all the little problems it had. I'm down to just a few things left. Tonight I fixed the problem of the interior lights not comming on when the driver's door is openned. After that however I noticed that the rear left reading/interior light is burnt out. I tried to get this off to replace the bulb but I couldn't. I didn't want to force it and break it. I was able to rotate it back and forth a little and suspect that I need to rotate it to one of these positions and it should pop out. Can anyone tell me the correct method of replacing this bulb?

Cheers,
Kbert

I guess I'll answer my own question...

I ended up pulling the plastic trim piece off from around the door and then popped the panel out. It was held in with two plastic clips (same style as the ones that hold the door panels on). After that the back of the light fixture was exposed and the bulb easily removed.

Turns out the bulb was fine, it was a connection on the circuit board the bulb plugs into that had gone bad.

Sorry I couldn't help, mine doesn't have the opera lights...

Glad you figured it out.

No worries,

I was just looking for advice to make sure I didn't break anything. I'm still getting familiar with how this car is put together.
